never heard of LD till today

Hey everyone! I had the most intense dream last night! It was weird because i had never had the feeling of controlling a dream before, even though it only lasted a second. So since I remembered some of the dream I looked up "controlling dreams" an sure enough what came up was LD. I have been reading up on it all day. Never been this excited about something to make me sit and read off a computer screen for 10 hours. Im trying for my first time tonight and I just hae some questions. About a week ago I bought the vitamin B6, which I read today that it causes strange dreams. I have not taken it yet and am not sure if I should for my first night. Any thoughts? Also, ive been hearing all kinds of this about aids like the Nova Dreamer and the Dream Maker. Are these products worth the money or is it more of an experience to do it with out them?

The products are trying to make money off you (well pretty much ever product is, even bread)... some have their merits but TBH the best way to learn is just with a paper, pen and alarm clock. As for B6, I havn't used it myself so I cant really comment but if it works for you and helps build up your lucid confidence go for it. Anyway, welcome to the forum

Welcome to the forum, Thrash. I used b6 for 2 months at a time, but to no avail. However, I've also used b12 and that really helped my memory for dream recall. If I were you, though, I wouldn't buy those dream contraptions. They are expensive and most people claim that they don't even work. I mean, if you want to buy em' it is your own thing. I've just heard they aren't much. Doing it yourself is a lot less costly.

Hi Thrash, Nice to meet u. I'm a newbie too and just reached here 2day. I also went to pages in some website that offering equipment four experienced LD but I don't think we need it at all. I think the best things to do first is try to follow the tutorials as described in DV website such as Lucid Dreaming Quick Start Tutorial from Seeker (thanks to Seeker ) at http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1651 I'm gonna practice it starting 2night and hopefully it will works.

Hi thrash, Welcome to the board. I used B6 for a couple of months, and i found for a little while that it not only improved my recall, but also made my dreams more vivid. As for those dream 'instruments' i don't think there's any more powerful instrument for dreaming and lucidity than your own brain. They are all very well, but i believe it's like anything you want to learn and become good at. It takes practice!
