      A little advise please

Hey, I’m completely new to this, and I need to little advise, or maybe just having a few questions answered.

I've had a few LD's in the past before I even had an understanding of what it was, or its potential, and after finding about the facts off a friend and this website, I had two LDs in a row. My dream recall is generally quite good, I can easily remember two dreams in a night, with quite some clarity of the scenes, yet I can't get myself to distinguish between what is dreaming and waking. In fact, I think that my brain wants to tell me that I’m in a dream so much that I wake up and I can hear myself muttering "This is a dream", yet I am unable to jolt myself awake to this fact in the dream itself

Any ideas other than those already stated?

I hate when that happens to me. I do this quite frequently, actually. Don't worry about it. Keep at it.....Sooner or later you will come to that conclusion and snap yourself awake in the dream. Perhaps you should look at something that reminds you of a dream in your dream, or train yourself to do so. This works for me quite a bit....

Have you tried doing any reality checks? I've found them quite helpful lately. Just last night, I did a reality check using clocks (the time on the clock on wall didn't match the time on my watch, and I became lucid).

Usually, you'll need to establish some dreamsigns so you can recognize certain aspects of your dream as actually being a dream - pair that with a reality check and it may help you cross the threshold into lucidity. This is where your dream journal comes in handy - it's easy to recognize patterns and dreamsigns when you have them written out in front of you.

Everyone's different, so you'll just have to try different things and find what works best for you. Good luck!
