      am i doing something wrong?

Ok, so i have been reading up on techniques and posts on how people have attained ludicy, and alot of it involves being active and thinking in your dreams (e,g flicking light switches of doing reality checks). but my dreams always are as if watching a movie with myself in it (according to my dream journal), I don't think or talk i just watch things unfold. Is this not normal, am i not getting REM sleep or something? or is this type of dreaming normal and i haven't recorded a first person dream yet.

That's weird. Maybe if most of ur dreams 3rd person maybe do a reailty check everytime you see your self in a photo or homemovie. Then that might be an easy way to get lucid but still confuseing I mean if you like wacthing your self you make the yourself your wacthnig to the reailty check or urself? Well good luck with that maybe you can just realize something wrong about wacthing your self in thrid person and then relize its a dream?

      Hi bandman and

Well it appears that your dreamsign is essentially... yourself! At least the image of yourself. It's not unusual for people to dream in the 3rd person. Sometimes one will be in a particular dream as themselves, suddenly switch into another character and later become a spectator to the same dream. Freaky stuff.

But - you say you're the spectator most of the time, so this is essentially your strongest dreamsign.

POSSIBLE SOLUTION: You need to perform reality checks involving your dreamsign in real life. So, what's the only way you could see yourself in real life? A mirror! Everytime you you wake up, go to the bathroom and see yourself in the mirror - Reality Check! See your reflection in a window -- Reality Check! If you're not seeing yourself often enough, video tape yourself. Sure, sounds weird, but what are you willing to do to lucid dream? Set up the camera in the hallway, record yourself walking down the hall, flipping on a lightswitch perhaps (classic reality check).

Eventually reality checks when you come across your image will become a habit that you can carrry into your dreams with you.
