      reality checks

      so im trying to get into the habit of doing at least 21 one reality checks a day like the site said i should do, i probably do at least 21 or more a day but the problem is i forget to do them during the day but am doing tons for about 2-3 hours after i wake up and 1-2 hours befor i go to bed. will this effect the chances of me doing one in my dream?

      I kind of have the same question, I have the same habit of doing them after I wake up and going to bed, but not during mid-day.

      You should be doing them all throughout the day. If you have a digital watch, you can time it to beep every hour to remind you. Other then that, you could post little signs all around where you are that ask if you are dreaming. that way you can do an RC. In my locker at school, I have a sign that says Are You Dreaming? SO everytime I open my locker I do an RC.

      Yeah, little post it notes work for me. I post em in the bathroom, on the computer, and even at my desk job when I worked there!

      Also, you can try to do it everytime you ...... (insert something you do often during the day)

      Like...If you are in school...everytime you walk into a classroom....or everytime you walk thru a doorway, turn on a light switch, etc etc.

      Are there other kinds of reality checks besides the watch check or the finger through the hand check?

      Trying to fly seems to be a good one, too. You should realize you're dreaming if you stay in the air for even a fraction of a second longer than normal.

      Plug your nose and try to breath
      try to fly
      try turning on light switches or electronics (usually don't work in dreams)
      look at txt, look away, then look back (usually changes)
      whenever you see something out of the ordinary, do an RC


      Those are just a few.
