      Hello o_O Im new

Hey, my name's Ben, and Im here.. I first heard about controlling your dreams from an old episode of Star Trek Next Gen. It intrested me so I searched for it on google and found this site. I found this site really helpful. I've always known about controlling dreams, but something in my mind sparked when I heard about it on Star trek the other night. I already have the skill of dream recall and have decidded to start a dream journal blog, which can be found here: http://gorichanaz.blogspot.com/

Well, I guess that at least once a month I find myself knwoing I am dreaming, it has been like this since I can remember. When I do find myself knowing Im dreaming I try to do things like conjuring up guns or trying to do mischief. It usually doesn't work, I never got overly excited and left the dream world, just got really mad that I couldn't do things like that. So far I haven't been able to "control" my enviroment and such, but I have been able to go around and do whatever.

Yea, so, it is pretty much like that, also I have one question:

When you guys dream do you see through your eyes, or in third person view (where you see from like above or something and see yourself)? I see from a third-person view, not first-person.

I like to think of dreams as a videogame, but it is more fun, usually, being in a dream because, you are in it. If my tv is left on when I dream, I usually dream whatever is on television. Like for example, I fell asleep on the couch one moring while Megaman EXE was on and a guy on the tv was talking about salmon or something so, I was dreaming about a guy talking about salmon, with the tv audio replacing the voices from my dream.

yea... so thats pretty much about how I dream.

Hey there Ben, and welcome to DV!

Good to see that you have some experience with LDs. I'm sure that you'll find a lot of helpful information and people here to improve on your skills.

This varies from person to person. As for myself, I almost always have dreams in 1st person, but we have many other members that regularly dream in 3rd person.

Welcome to the forum! You've already got a huge head start being able to LD naturally on your own (not using any induction techniques). Feel free to share your questions and experiences here - the members are great.

      Good luck and have fun!

yea, thanks, I already feel really welcomed, and also, since I started looking at this site a few days ago, it has helped me to get a full nights sleep !!! I am very excited, and I want to have an ld, but you can only sleep so many hours. Oh well, it will make my next ld all the more funner (having to wait).

You look like you have a great head start. You have already got the hardest part down. Try to work on your dream control perhaps by making an outline of what you would like to do while in a dream so that you can stay focused.
      Shine on, you crazy diamond!

I think I always dream in 1st person...although I've never really thought about it. I'm going to try that next time I dream.

About the conjuring up guns and stuff...(sorry I don't know how to do that little blue box thing yet) I've never done that but I can make myself invisible or fly when I need to. In fact I don't think I've ever dreamed about being shot at before. Anyway, the first time I made myself invisible was when I was very young and the were always dogs or big wild cats chasing me. I said to my dreaming self, "If this is a dream, then I can make myself invisible and they should just run right by me." They did, and I was able to get away.

So maybe try actually saying to yourself "I need some real firepower here" Like in the Matrix before Neo and Trin mess that pretty little lobby up.

Have you any hints on dream recall I can use?

      I'll check out your blog...

Damn! He! Lucky! I'm envious, I gotta confess, bgorichanaz!

You're a good way further along, in terms of dream recall, control, lucidity, than me. Heh! Wow. Here I am, still struggling to have LD's! Meh. I'll get it.

Nice to have you aboard! Since you seem to be already having LD's, I think you're already past the biggest hurdle most people face, including myself. Cool. Still envious, but cool.

<--green with envy... heh... cool... never used that little guy before...

      So... yeah... welcome!

      heh tips?

Thanks for the matrix advice :bravo:

Umm... advice for ksmash? Well, I don't really know, my dreams just stick in my memory. Usually because I've had many, many of my dreams multiple times. But Well the dreams I had two nights ago, "Monday" didn't come back to me until I watched a mario video.

I suppose when I had an awsome dream and I know it, and I don't remember details, just that it was awsome, I meditate on it. All I do is just go find a quiet place, sit and relax, close my eyes, and just think about the dream, after like a few minutes of that they start to come back. I just explore further into my dream until I get it. Thats what I do, hope it helps a lil!

heh, The Blue Meanie, don't be green with envy be lol, jk keep it up though man
