hello. i'm a 30 year old woman in central virginia. i have had very vivid dreams and at times, spontaneous lucid dreams, my entire life. i have also had various mystical experiences. i recently experienced a shift in consciousness that took me from being a very depressed woman to returning to a conscious path of both mysticism and humanness. i'm not sure if that's what i'd call it, though. my language doesn't fit so well sometimes, what i intend to express. i will be an anthropology/journalism student in the fall and have a background (sort of?) in digital design and art... i have a budding interest in the sciences and music (drumming and other sounds), am prone to activism of different sorts, and i suppose i'm currently focused on my own stroll, desire-diving, or unfolding or return to some kind of wholeness (it seems). i have a personal connection to what is often referred to as "shamanism" a term that i'm not sure what people want it to mean. i just know that there is something beckoning me to return the tuning of my perception to the Great Tapestry of things, and i am following that current. there are many doors, in every point in space, they say. i'm just walking through them and watching. well, a bit agressively, i guess. so i'm here to learn and practice lucid dreaming. nice to meet you all.

Thank you very much. I'm so new to all of this and the techniques! I'm excited to learn. I'm tempted to start out with the "Lucid Dreaming in 30 Days" book or whatever it's called. I tried some techniques I found on this site last night, and whatever I did really helped with dream recall. I suppose in two weeks I'll be looking to get "adopted" Any suggestions on a guardian who may have similar interests (Shamanism, quantum and string theory, transcendence, ancient symbolism, etc?) Anyhow, thanks again for the welcome!

Check member's profiles by clicking on their name. Most people list interests and hobbies, and other information, so maybe you'll be able to find someone with your same interests that way. Let me know if you need any help with anything

Pinball, welcome to the site. You'll find it very useful to move you along with LD. Also I have some experience with shamonic journeying, etc. Actually did a workshop with Michael Harner some years ago in Norwalk, Ct. Learned journeying with an apprentice of his who now is teaching in Maine. Have been away from journeying for some years now but am looking to reconnect with that part of myself. Still have all the drumming tapes, etc.
