If you haven't already, I would recommend taking a look at the Tutorials to get a feel for some of the techniques you can try and use to become lucid. If you have any questions on any of those then feel free to ask!

And as a side note, I know what you mean about studying literature. I'm a junior at the University of Montana and I'm studying Russian, however, most of my classes will end up being lit classes and I also get tired of having to pry the stories apart. I just want to enjoy them and not have to worry about "The development and relevance of themes in Zoshchenko's 'Aristocrat' and 'The Bathhouse' " (which is due tomorrow).
