I've been searching for a site like this for a looong time

Hello everyone...I'm very excited to get started in this community.

A little about myself: I had a very traumatic childhood because of health issues, and only recently when I started reading of Buddhism have I felt 'ok.'

I feel like my dreams are telling me something bigger than I can comprehend. I really would like assistance in understanding what i'm doing and where i'm going. I've acknowledged to myself that there is more to this world than i'll ever understand. I feel that I know more than i've ever imagined, yet I don't know how to 'tap' into this resource.

I've experienced 2 lucid dreams, but they were long ago. Recently, within the past few months, i've been having very deep dreams which I will go into further later. I believe them to be true because I also had a dream that 2 of my relatives were braking up, only to wake up the next day to find out that it really did happen; I had no knowledge of it.

I'm searching for something inside my head, and I need help finding it.

So ya....I can't wait to progress further!

      Hey Aeo and

I'm curious, how was it that you experienced these lucids? Where they DILDs (you just realized it while dreaming) MILD(you induced the dream by thinking about it while falling asleep) or did you slip into the dream right from being awake (WILD)?

If you experienced both of these lucids in the same manner, a good place to start would be to try those techniques again (even if you really didn't know they were techniques before). Also, if you're trying to reach something "inside your head", you may want to look into meditation as well (if you haven't already). Both lucid dreaming and meditation (I believe) bring your mind into the same altered state and give us that window to look into our heads.

My first was a DILD and it was way long ago. In the dream I was walking around with my mom and sister when it suddenly dawned on me that I was dreaming. I looked over to my mom and said "Mom...this is a dream!" and she quickly said "No it's not!" I tried for a minute or 2 to convince her otherwise, but she kept denying it. At this point I forgot that I was dreaming and the dream continued. A strange thing about this dream is that I can still remember scenery from the dream, and this was like 6 years ago.

My second time must have been an MILD. I remember wanting to control my dream and I was over a river and was flying very fast. I knew that I was in control because I could move my body up and down, and I was really feeling the wind. It was a wonderful experience. It was as though I was exploring. Another cool thing about it was that I felt as though the environment was moving around me, rather than me moving through the environment. Does that make sense?

      Hello,

I have been interested in Buddhist dream yoga and powa practice for many years. I also have had what seem to be prophetic dreams, as well as a dream in which a dream character was able to greatly reduce my suffering, and teach me a very important lesson about life.

Now, I'm a pretty logical kind of guy, but these dream experiences seem to be a bit beyond coincidental. This is a fabulous site for gaining experience in dream control. I look forward to hearing more from you.

Not at all, Aeo - in fact, I've heard from some (I think mostly those who experience out-of-body's) that this is really how our dreams work. We don't necessarily move our bodies through the environment - we move the environment around us. But, this may be just a perception that differs between each individual.

After a long night of intense dreaming I woke up this morning to find that I still had a few more hours to sleep before class. I thought to myself "I will go back into this dream and make it lucid." And it worked!

It only lasted for about 3-5 minutes, but still though, it was cool.
