      Good to be aboard!

There are no words to describe the very moment I observe my surroundings and realize that I'm dreaming. I can't help but look around at this vivid creation being displayed upon the canvas of my own imagination! Absolutely incredible!

      Hey everyone,

Although I'm no newbie to lucid dreaming, I'm definitely a newbie when it comes to discussing my experiences with an entire community. I truly look forward to meeting everyone as we share and compare that in which we can't help but be fascinated by.

      My personal goals include:

      1. To eventually attain lucidity on a nightly (or near nightly) basis
      2. To increase the vividness of my lucid dreams
      3. To increase the length of my lucid dreams
      4. To use all of the above as a tool to gain a better understanding of myself and... well... to have a bit of fun in the process!

I definitely realize that these things don't happen over night, but I truly plan to work hard at developing such skills, and I am confident this site contains all of the proper rssources to get me there.

I’m not quite sure if anyone else can relate, but I can't help but feel like something important awaits me deep within the realm of my dreams.

      Cheers!

      Welcome to Dream Views, man.
Always good to see someone coming into LD'ing with the enthusiasm you have. Trust me, it goes a long way when it comes to gaining experience. There are a lot of great people here, so if you have any questions, either pm one of us dream guides (in green), anyone else, or simply start up a thread in the right section. The search and tutorial features are good to get some direction with as you're starting out.
I'm sure you'll love this place just as much as the rest of us do.

Those are some excellent goals indeed, and the fact that you realize you'll need time and patience will probably give you a good chance of making progress and in the end, reaching them.

As for sharing your experiences. You (and all the other lucid dreamers) are lucky that a forum like Dreamviews exists for this purpose. As this is still (after a few months of hanging around here) without doubt the best forum with the best members I know of (for any subject, not just lucid dreaming).

      Good luck

I appreciate the warm welcome! I'll be beginning entries into my Dream Journal tonight and will be getting into some discussions here and there (most likely when I awake to write into my journal). I'll keep the community updated on my progress, and will post if I really need help or if I just have something exciting worth discussing.

I look forward to the advice!

      Thanks
