Ahoy there!
Just wanted to say hi and tell all ya'll why I'm here.
I started training myself to dream about 2 weeks ago because a little while ago I had seen Waking Life and a few day later had my first lucid dream since I was a little kid. It was amazing. I was in my dorm room and my mom walks through the door commanding an army of teaching assistants carrying cardboard boxes. Then my friend's room mate shows up. That is when I realized I was dreaming (don't know what made me realize tho). So, like in the movie, I ask friend's room mate what is it like to be a character in my dream but I got the most frightening response. It was in this loud, echoing, voice that said some nonsense like "I ALREADY DREAMDEDED!" The he attacked me and sliced my leg open with the jagged part of a cream-saver wrapper. o_0
That was pretty weird but I wanted to do it again so I started a dream-journal' and I really remember my dreams much better now. I keep realizing that strange things are happening but don't figure out to do a reality check. I just ask dream characters how we ended up in a car or whatever but they always either ignore me or give some nonsense answer.
Today was different however! I was taking an afternoon nap (that's when I dream best I think) and I was having trouble falling asleep. So I was sitting at my desk disappointed that I couldn't even get to sleep, much less dream. Then it struck me that I never got out of bed and that was a dream! woohoo! I didn't have control of my body tho. It was like I was watching myself from a 3rd person. Tried to look at my watch and couldn't do it. Tried to fly but could only imagine it in my dream-body-imagination. then I began to wake up. I'm pretty sure that I was at least partially awake at this point. The weirdest thing happened. My entire body began to vibrate very intensely every few seconds, almost like when 2 waves are going in an out if sync. It felt almost like being electrocuted (which I've done before). The shaking was so intense my whole head was rattling inside. I could feel my legs being to lift up. I could also hear this white noise in-between these shocks. That is when I tried to sit up and the feeling went away.
Anybody got an explanation for that? It was amazing! If you read this far, well thank you very for listening!
See you around[/i]
