      To sleep, perchance...

Sorry for the cheesy subject line, but I hate those things.

I had the random idea to do a web search for lucid dreaming this evening, and so here I am, after reading through the rest of the website. I'm curious about dreaming for a few good reasons, and I'll tell you about the two best reasons right now.

My friend Andy has communicated to me in my dreams. He did not remember telling me anything, so I'm not sure I would say they were shared dreams (though he could have forgotten, I suppose...). The first time was when we did not know eachother very well yet. My husband Chris was overseas (military), and got some news that he might be coming home on a certain date. He wasn't sure, though, so he didn't tell me, or anyone else, except Andy. Andy was our GM (Shadowrun w00t!!), so my husband thought Andy would be able to prepare a storyline and have a nice surprise for the rest of us. So I dreamed one night that Andy and I were talking about the Shadowrun we had planned, and Andy says something about Chris being there. I interrupted him: "What? Chris will be there?" and he said "No, no, I didn't mean that," and quickly changed the topic as if he had slipped and said something he didn't mean. I let it go in my dream.

Three days later, Chris came home and surprised me, and told me how he had told Andy but nobody else (all that stuff in the last paragraph that I didn't know yet). I remembered the dream and asked Andy about it, but he didn't remember having such a dream.

That was the first time, and that story is way better than the next one, though they are both good.

Recently, one Sunday morning, I woke up confused. I had just dreamed Andy had called and said he would not be arriving today, as he had planned, but Monday. I said okay and hung up. Then I woke up. I asked Chris if Andy had called, and he said no. What a wierd dream, I thought. Ten minutes later, Andy called. "I just wanted to let you know I'll be there on Monday, not Sunday." Again, he didn't remember telling me anything like that, and in fact, I don't even think he was asleep at the time I was dreaming it. I could be wrong. But it still qualifies as "wierd." (even for this website )

So those are my experiences! I hope to gain some practice in lucid dreaming, or whatever else I can do (like read people's minds in my sleep?? lol). I'll probably be mostly lurking on the forums... but I wanted to say hello, and anyways I love my stories too much to not tell them to such a group.

      Sweet dreams.

Thanks for sharing...those are experiences that could change someone's life, especially if they keept having them. have you read Rupert Sheldrake? he's a great read, and a good source if you are looking into paranormal experiences..
