      Another newbie here

      Hi everyone!
Let me introduce myself: I'm a 19 year old boy from Italy and I especially like computers (my passion started with videogames when I was a child and they're one of my main interests also now). Another thing that really interests me is trying to enhance my mind in any direction possible. This is why I'm interested in Lucid Dreaming too (and if I understood LDs are a great "training ground" for mental abilities, right?).

I had some lucid dreams in the past, but they were "spontaneous" (they were DILD, as I learn now from the glossary ). Unluckily I remember only my last one, I think it was about an year ago (perhaps more)...

I discovered only few weeks ago something more about lucid dreaming (before that it was only a personal experience) and became more interested in it and started trying to have LDs "at will". With no success right now, but I'll keep trying.

My dream recall is somewhat good (at least I think so: I can remember about 2-3, sometimes 4 dreams per night). I am "a little lucid" in every dream; I can change a few things here and there, but not enough to do anything I want (it is the dream that sets my goal, but I can choose how to achieve it). This "small lucid abilities" are not enough to change a nightmare in a nice dream for example... I can remove some of the unpleasing things, but not all of them.

Just two nights ago I lost an occasion: I was dreaming about reading a book. I was at the end of a page, read trough it, went to the next one but I realised I lost the last sentence so I went back to read it. Since the page had completely changed I realised I was dreaming and started to think about becoming lucid but the dream ended there and another one started...

      Any tips?

      And again, hi everyone!

Hey there and welcome to the forum!
You know, I really like video games alot as well, and have since I was 2 years old. It is really cool to have LDs about them, isn't it?
It is really common to wake up from a LD from getting too excited after becoming aware. The solution is to try to keep calm, and just do something in the dream to calm yourself down. As long as you are aware you are dreaming, you are Lucid!
If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Now that you made me think of it, I don't remember ever having a LD about videogames

I have a lot of dreams that "feel" like VGs (they're rarely about a particular one), but none of them was lucid as far as I remember (except for the "minor lucid abilities" I mentioned before)

      Anyway, thanks for the hint!
I'll try to stay calm next time.

Dreaming about games.... Yeah, it quite often happens to me if I play DOOM long time, than I dream to be a player in DOOM and fighting against enemies. Sometimes it's pretty adreanaline experience. (Maybe I it's possible to use games to induct lucid dream .)
