Another newbie with lots of questions

hi everyone i've just joined the site although i have known about lucid dreaming for quite a while now and i think i have experianced it at least twice that i can remember although i didn't do anything to induce it it just sort of happened

i was wondering now that i have read the site how i should exactly go about learning to be lucid i mean after i have recorded my dreams over the next week or two should i attempt to have a lucid dream or should i just try straight away.

It is really up to you to decide whether or not you should attempt Lding right off. You can, but you musn't get upset if you do not succeed most or even any of the time, when you first start. Keep recording your dreams, and pick a technique to try. This link might help you...

      Hello and welcome to DV!
in answer to your questions. Record your dreams over the next week or so. You should aim to record 2-3 dreams per night. When you have a good store of dreams, look over them and see if you can spot anything out of place or unusual, that wouldn't necessarily happen in waking life. These become your 'dreamsigns', or signs that you are dreaming.
You may find that one technique doesn't work for you, if that's the case you can always move on to another.
Also, don't be disheartened if it doesn't happen straight away. You have to get your brain into the habit of remembering dreams, and also spotting unusual things. It's a case of use it or lose it.
Finally, if you check your inbox, you'll see i've sent you a welcome PM that directs you to many different areas of the site, that should be helpful to you.
If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to PM me.
