here' s my advice:

1) Becoming lucid - when you realize you are in a dream you are lucid.
However, often there is some doubt, is this really a dream? It looks so real? This why its good to read about reality checks. When you use a reality check in a dream successfully you KNOW you are dreaming.

2) once you are lucid you may have to stabilize the dream.
- try to stay calm
- look around
- touch things
- say "increase lucidity" or lucidity times 1000!

3) have fun!

Also yes you can have more than one lucid dream in a night. I read of one person who had 6! my best is only 2
