      Trouble with dream recall

I had a brief dream, and as soon as I started thinking about it, I had forgotten. The more I thought about it, the more I would forget. I think I was thinking about it in my dream...

For the most part, I can't really remember many of my dreams. Is there any way to help improve my dream recall a little besides trying and practicing?

Keep a dream journal -- that's the best way to improve your recall. As soon as you wake up, even if it's the middle of the night, write down whatever you can remember of your dreams right away. Most of the time you'll find that the more you write, the more you will remember.

I woke up in a haze and scribbled down my dream...I woke up and read it, and I didn't remember writing 90% of it. It's not very specific either...

At least I got something down..

It's definitely a start - especially since you didn't remember writing most of it down when you read it later. You'll start training your mind to remember more and more when you take the time to write down anything and everything you can remember. Stick with it and keep up the good work!

I also read some where that it's important to also write down specific feelings you had in your dream, if you recall them. Regarding the dream journal - I can only recommend it since my recall have more then doubled. It feels odd going up in the middle of the night doing notes though
