Used to be able to LD.

When I was a lot younger (about five years old) I used to be able to have Lucid dreams quite often. Only basic things like escaping from nightmares and just being aware I was in a dream.

Recently I had another one and after a bit of research found this site, I was wondering if it would be possible for me to get the ability to have LD's again?

Thanks to anyone who replies, tis much appreciated. ^^
Don't worry, I have no idea either.

First off, I would like to say welcome to DV. Second off, the answer is yes. LDing is just like anything else you do, if you dont do something for awhile you tend to get "rusty" at it but once you get back into trying, It could come back to you.

Well hope you have a good time here

      Welcome to the forum!

Of course it's possible to learn how to LD again! Lots of people seem to have the ability as a child, then start to lose it when they get older. I think it has to do with being more skeptical and closed-mindedness as we age.

There should be some helpful links in the PM I sent you - the tutorials are great. And if you're interested in books, you should check out Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by Stephen LaBerge - I guarentee this book will help you become lucid again.

So try some different techniques and let us know how you're doing! Feel free to post any questions or experiences. Good luck and have fun!

      Thanks .

I've been very tired lately, I can't remember any of my dreams anymore and I've been feeling depressed. Would these have any effects on being able to Lucid Dream?
Don't worry, I have no idea either.

Absolutely. Lack of sleep, stress, and depression will all have negative effects on your ability to recall dreams, or to become lucid.

But, once you sort out those problems, you should be able to learn to have lucid dreams again. It may take a little work, but since you already know what to expect, you've won half the battle.
