      first time

I've always been in touch with my dreams, often times having very vivid dreams and remembering them. Recently I had my first lucid dream with surprising sucess. I didn't like my dream and realized I could just wake up, but then I stopped, and said to myself, " Hey I'm dreaming, I should try to do something interesting." this is before I looked on the website at all. So I began to fly and I soared around a parking lot. I wanted to make a car explode, but couldn't but when I blinked, the car changed into a different kind of car, and eventually one disappeared, and one turned into a butterfly. However, when I saw the butterfly, one the size of a car by the way, I became really excited I could actually do this in my dreams, and woke up. I wanted to learn how to do it again, so I looked into it and discovered the website, now hopefully I'll learn to make lucid dreaming more common. I think I already have an inate ability, so hopefully it will come easily.

Hey there and welcome to the forum.

Congrats on your 1st LD! You didn't by chance catch the butterfly did you? That 1st LD, a DJ, and the tutorials are keys to your success!

      Re: first time

Welcome, flashbat That sounds like a great first LD! More exciting than mine was. All I did after realizing that I was dreaming was turn to the DC (dream character) I was with and shouted, "It's okay! I'm dreaming!" Then it went back to being a normal dream

Anyway, welcome to DV! If you have any questions about becoming lucid or anything dream-related just feel free to ask. Just keep the memory of that LD in your head and you'll be lucid in no time. If you want you can take a look at the Tutorials or you can just browse around if you'd like.

      See you around!
