Hi all. I'm new. Also, quick question.

Hey everyone. Sorry not really sure how to introduce myself, but I'll describe a little about myself. I have had lucid dreams for a while, as far as I can remember, alot of my dreams were lucid. I didn't know it was something that other people could do, or that it could be developed as a skill. My brother told me about a guy that came to his college and talked about something called lucid dreaming. He explained it to me and I looked at him strange, and said "IT HAS A NAME?!?!". Moments after he was done talking I was on google searching for lucid dreaming, and I was unbelieveibly lucky in finding your site.

Anyway, hello all, and my question. I am very big on meditation, and being able to control your own mind, emotions, feelings, and other fun stuff. I wonder, through vigorous mental dedication and work, do you believe it would be possible to enter a lucid dream whenever you willed it? Just feeling like Lucid dreaming, relaxing, and doing it?

Sorry about my ignorant question. Ive only had my own experiences to study on, since I didnt know it was an actual subject of thought. But Id rather ask and be a fool for 5 minutes than not ask and be a fool for life.

Also. Something very interesting to do, is try and meditate while lucid dreaming. It's one of the most interesting feelings ever. I really suggest trying it.

      Thanks for reading.

Hey there and welcome to the forum!
That sounds like a pretty good method to me. Give it a try, and see how it goes!

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

Welcome to the forum, and by the way - there aren't any stupid questions! So don't feel embarrassed to ask.

I'm not a meditation expert by any means, but I think you can only LD while you are actually sleeping. So maybe if you fall asleep during meditation, it may be possible to enter straight into a LD, like during a WILD. Some people can have LDs at will, but I don't know any personally, except maybe nesgirl. Reading Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by Stephen LaBerge, the author learned how to LD at will in order to do experiments. I guess it has to do with finding an induction technique that works well for you and stick with it. Unfortunately, I'm not even close to the point where I can induce them at will. Most of mine are DILDs, where I just spontaneously gain lucidity in the middle of a dream, whether it be by accident or by recognizing a dreamsign or something.

Sorry I'm not much help answering your question. Maybe someone else has a better answer for you. Good luck with everything!
