Hey,

I just wanted to say something before i get started, i'm truely touched and impressed at the sheer amount of help and friendliness at this board...it's something truely unique...anyways back on topic.

I bought LaBerge's book, "Exploring the world of lucid dreaming" about 2-3 months ago and i tried to use MILD ... however, due to the kind of person i am, impatient...i skimed the book instead of reading it...i go all the way to WILD and met with no sucess...

I recently picked up the idea again of LD'ing, it's been something that is just facinating...so i started to re-read the book from the beggining this time...no skimming.

I increased my dream recall in a matter of days from nothing for the last two years to about 2-3 dreams pernight. One of which, with incredibile detail. What they say is true, if you think you can, you will.

The 1st night i practised MILD, about a week or two ago, i met with sucess, though not how i intended it to work. From my recall of the dream, it was very dark, but i knew i was at my place of employment, OfficeDepot. I was looking around, for odities doing a Reality Check. All i can remember seeing was a very dim view of a wall. However, as the book recommends, i said, i'm not dreaming now but if i was i would fly...and at that moment i flew to the ceiling where i imediently said, "this is a dream". It was an incredible feeling. Unforutantly my recall of that dream is very dark, the scene was faded, very dim and poorly lite.

My second LD, again using MILD, i got it about a week after the 1st, i was running away from some guy who was trying to beat me up...i got into my car, in an attempt to drive away from him, but i thought the sequence of events was rather odd so i did a Realty check, i held my index finger and thumb over my nose and inhaled...and btw, if you've never done that in a dream, its freaky cool =) I noticed that was breathing and realised i was in a dream. At the time before this apifiny, it was midnight, dark outside, street lights were on, i had amazing recolection of this...everything was so real. Upon become lucid, everything went from night to day, literaly. It was sunny, there was lots of colors, everything again, was incredibly real. Of course, the guy chasing me was gone.

I said all of that to say, upon becoming lucid, when things changed from night to day, it was incredible. However, there were "holes" in my visoin. Cirlces of pitch black...as i noticed that i said "clarity". Then everything started to fade, in retrospect i should have started to spin, but i forgot. As the senery faded i releised i was asleep in my bed, and i did a reality check and yes, i was really awake.

Im sure that everything faded because that dream was REALLY long and i'm reasonably sure, 95%, that it faded because it was the end of my sleep cycle...

Sumation:
LD's are incredible for those who have not had one yet, keep trying, it's incredible. How does MILD work, i mean are you in the dream and your "i sure be dreaming, so i'm dreaming" or what? My other question was what's with my holes in vision?

Thanks
