      Peace, Love, and Happy Dreaming!

      Hullo

      I'm Christine, and I was introduced to DV through Tom_Peace, my fiance.

      My purpose for joining is simply that I've suffered from intensely graphic, disturbing, horrible dreams for my whole life. Alternatively, if I don't remember some gore fest, I can hardly ever remember any dreams at all - as of late, anyhow.
      I wanted to edit to include this, after reading some more info on LDing. I was a major sleepwalker as a child. We're talking nearly every night till I was about 15 or so.

      I've tried the Jung style of dream interpretation, but basically I recognize that it all comes down to one thing - I've gone through a lot of really sick stuff in my life, and my subconscious is purging still.

      I'm not trying to lucid dream merely to avoid dealing with a problem, but it would be quite relieving to have at least one nice dream now and then - the kind I hear people talk about in that sing-song, cloudwalking voice. At the very least, it is my understanding that there is quite a lot of interesting information to take in here!

      I can't wait to meet you all, especially those I've ehard so much about (dun, dun DUN!)

      OMG, when I read your profile and sent you that welcome PM, I was like, "wow, this chick sounds like a female version of Tom Peace!" I didn't know you actually knew each other (and are engaged - congratulations!!). Guess I missed that part in your profile.

      So welcome to the forum! I'm so happy that you decided to become a member. I think you'll find a lot of help here for your nightmares, if that's what you consider them. Here's the nightmare tutorial, if you're interested.

      But please feel free to post any questions or experiences you may have. And the Dream Guides (green people) are always available via PM for specific questions.

      Anyhow, thank you for that link. I shall be right off to it actually - my sleep (or, rather, lack of it) has become so bizarre lately! I'm quite excited to be here, and I've already jumped into the plethora of information that your site offers.

      (Are you from the Detroit area, by any chance? I have cousins that live there; I used to visit them every year.)

      And, yeah - I live about 30 miles north of Detroit, actually. I'm not originally from this area, though - I grew up on a farm out in the sticks of the "thumb" area of Michigan. I moved here for college, which is where I met my husband, so now I'm here to stay.

      hahaha, imagine that little exchange of Tom and me for hours, and you'll soon realize what our relationship is like!

      I haven't been to Detroit in, oh gosh, say at least 10 years! But I have fond memories of travels there.
