      wandered into this world

      I just quit smoking (for the second time in 7 years) and am getting help with "the patch". I remembered having wicked dreams the last time I quit and I don't know if it's a withdrawl side effect or patch induced. Anyhow, sure enough the vivid dreams returned so the next day (yesterday) i searched for info on dreams and found this site. As others, I have had freaky dreams that have awed me in the past (flying included), and would really like to explore this thrill some more. Last night I tried the journal thing and though I did awake several times after dreaming...i was too lazy to write it down so I just repeated the facts in my head. (I actually dreamt that I wrote them down but didn't). I'm looking forward to visiting dreamland again tonight and welcome any advice you might want to share.

      Same thing here. A tip is that is you don't want to write it all down during the night, just write down one word that relates to the dream. You will still be able to remember the whole thing in the morning that way.

      Use Lucid dreaming to better yourself. Lucid dreaming can be used to overcome fears, fulfill fantasies, obtain creativity, and much more.

      EXAMPLE You learn to lucid dream. You are then in a dream where you become Lucid and realize you are in control. You tell yourself that you are not a smoker - you don't need cigerettes. I do not have to feel this way. I could go into more detail but just wanted to get some Ideas in your head of the possibilities.

      Also! If you find yourself smoking in a Lucid Dream...as this was recurrent behavior for yourself in the waking world, this can trigger lucidity-because you no longer smoke!

      Actually one of the side effects of the patch is strange dream activity. When I went through a smoking cessation class they gave us those and told us that but couldn't explain what about the patch messes with our dreams. I decided not to wear it at night since I didn't tend to crave nicotein in my sleep and already had wonderfully vivid dreams as it was.
