      hello dreamers

I was so excited to find this site... I've always loved my dreams, and on-and-off have periods of extremely vivid and interesting dreams. Some good, some bad - I don't even mind most of the disturbing ones, they're still fascinating.

I've had multiple spontaneous lucid dreams, with varying degrees of control. In one, I was sitting on a soft carpet, and I knew if I even opened my eyes I would wake up, but I just sat there and felt the carpet underneath me and marveled at how I could feel every fiber... Not a terribly exciting dream, but amazing in just how real the sensation was.

Another one, I was shopping in a mall with my sister on the third floor. Suddenly, I realized that she was much younger than she was in real life, and decided to "test" if this was a dream by inviting her to jump over the railing with me to see if we could fly. Of course, it should have been proof enough once she agreed to do it! We didn't really fly, but floated softly down to the ground.

My favorite one, I realized that I was dreaming and decided to go find Brad Pitt right outside my door... That was fun.

I just got off work for the summer (I'm a teacher) and am hoping to use my extra time to work on dream recall and ld induction eventually. I'm looking forward to reading everyone's experiences - I've already learned a lot just browsing the boards tonight.

Welcome to the forum, Illusion! I'm so glad you found the forum! Congrats on the LDs that you've already have - well done! It only gets better from there, trust me. I'm sent you a PM with some useful links, if you're interested.

Also, if you like books, I'd highly recommend picking up Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by Stephen LaBerge. It's especially great reading just before bed.

Please feel free to post any questions or experiences you may have - the community here is great and you'll get a ton of useful feedback. Good luck and have fun!

Thanks Burns - I've already spent a bit of time browsing around and it really does seem like you've all got a pretty cool community going here.

I'll check out the book; have a bit more time on my hands to read these days!
