Hi, I'm Meredith and I'm 15 years old. I found this site by chance and began reading about LDs and realized that I've had several of them. I've always been able to recall my dreams very vividally and on occasion, I am fully aware that I'm dreaming and take advantage of that fact to sort of control them. (well, at least, to control my actions in the dream, I've never really made anything appear or anything big happen) So, I read the pages on this site and am very excited to try to have more lucid dreams and contol them completely. Does anyone have any advice as to how go about practicing and do I need to start at the same level as someone who has never expirienced a LD? Thanks to anyone that replies!

Hey Meredith Glad you found the forum!

You've already got a huge head start already being able to LD and controlling certain aspects of it. My very first and most important piece of advice to you would be to start a dream journal! It'll be your most important tool in recognizing patterns and establishing your common dreamsigns, which you can use in reality checks to help you become lucid.

The best place to start, even if you've had LDs before, would be the tutorials. You'll gain a better understanding about LDing itself, and the different induction techniques that people use to induce LDs. Also, make good use of the Search option at the top of the screen to search for subjects that interest you - because a lot of people's common questions have already been discussed in detail.

Please feel free to post any questions or experiences you may have. Good luck and have fun!

      Hey, welcome to Dream Views.

If you're an experienced lucid dreamer, or whatever, you can set your status to that! It's your abilities, not your status on the site.

One piece of advice, when you're in a lucid dream, if you find yourself questioning what you can do, stop what you're doing immediately, and start thinking that you CAN do it. Since it's your dream, you can do anything. Even grow a pair of wings that resemble a hippo if you really wanted to....
