      I'm making progress

      Hello again, everybody

I am making some progres with my LDing!

First I just wanted to have a LD, and I tried before I acctually could even recall my dreams properly. But now I am taking it slow, so I have started with a Dream Journal. I have written down several dreams and it's startig to give effect. I can now recall like three dreams every night. And just a few nights ago, I dreamt something very much like a LD.

I was standing and telling somebody "well, this is just a dream..." and then I tried to fly. That's all I remember from that dream, I didn't wake up though. But I don't think that was a LD because I had absolutely no control, it was just like a normal dream exept that I was dreaming about Lucid Dreams.

So, my question now is, what is the next step?

Oh, and I really suck att Reality Checks. I keep forgetting them.

Hmm, I think you may have had an LD! Just because you didn't have any control doesn't matter. You can be lucid with no control, just as you can have control without being lucid. The two things are not dependant on each other.

So if you knew you were dreaming - than, congrats - you were lucid!

Good job with the recall and keeping your dream journal. Keep up the good work. Have you dscovered any common dreamsigns yet? If so, if any of them could happen in real life, you may be able to incorporate a reality check when it happens, and increase you chances of becoming lucid.

For example, a common dreamsign of mine is not being able to properly dial a phone. So any time I fumble the numbers in real life, which does happen occasionally, I do a reality check. This has actually gotten me lucid several times. Try it with a common dreamsign of yours. Pick a reality check that you are comfortable with and works for you. Personally, I use the clock one - I compare a wall clock to my wristwatch, because they never match when I'm dreaming. Other people just look twice at the same clock to see if the times match. Or hold your nose and try to breathe, etc. Whatever works for you.

If you want to, why not move into trying some induction techniques?

Well, I have two dreamsigns, but one of them is a past thing and one is a thing that is gonna happen later (the college that I'm starting at), so I can't really do RCs. ;P

But, last night I tried MILD. And to my big suprise, it worked! Not a very long LD, and I couldn't do very much, but still!

Oh, and I didn't know that my other LD acctually was one, I'll just count it as one. Thanks! ;P

Next step I guess is to work on my RC a little more.
