Hey everyone, I'm Gary. I became really interested in lucid dreaming around two years ago and visited many websites and read as much as I could, and tried learning some techniques to help induce lucid dreams. This worked, and I had quite a few, but only a couple of which lasted longer than ten seconds. Those experiences were amazing, and have stayed with me. I can visualise them more easily than I can what happened last week, lol, I'm a firm believer in the hyperreality some dreams can bring

However, I became really busy with A levels and was never able to devote enough attention to lucid dreams and, although I didn't lose complete interest, the lucidity wore off completely. I finished my A levels a few weeks ago, and decided to start reading up on lucid dreaming again, and am as enthused as ever. But it's been about three weeks now, and only one lucid dream that was very fuzzy and not clear at all. What I'm confused about is whether I'm trying too hard, or not trying hard enough, it appears to be quite a fine line. I've read somewhere that wanting it too much can decrease the possiblity of them and my brain is frustraitingly stubborn to me at all times, I am known to have long arguments with myself Do you think I should try not to think about it during the day and see where my dreams take me, or try learning new techniques? Any help would be very welcomed, this website looks so cool.
