      dear internet
I'm a young man from a state somewhere in the united states, and currently as well as previously interested in lucid dreaming. Through personal research and practice, such as reading Laberge's exploring the world of lucid dreaming I've become somewhat skilled in the art of lucid dreaming. For much of my life, I've had reasonably good dream recall and an average of 1-2 lucid dreams per month, but since I began taking active interest in this subject around 5 years ago I have gradually increased this number. In the past 30 days or so, I've had 6 lucid dreams 2 of which have been quite prolonged and vivid, allowing me to experiment with dream physics and possibilities (talking to dead friends, etc.). Ever since I had that first extremely vivid and stable lucid dream (what some might call hyper-rea) last year, I've never looked back. I keep a dream journal, and have done so for about 4 years now, amassing hundreds of written accounts of my dreams, which I feel is an accomplisment in its own right. I hope to further my skill in the coming months and years, and to supplement my successes with discussion on this forum (which appears to be the best lucid dreaming forum on the internet I've found so far).

How's it goin, John? Welcome to Dream Views.
Always nice to have a self-started student around.

I think you'll find that you're right about this being about the best place on the internet for lucid dreaming information. Not only is there an abundance of information already posted, but there is a great community here who are all more than welcome to share our experiences and/or advice.
Great idea on starting the dream journal, as I'm sure you know it's pretty invaluable when it comes to exploring your dreams.
Check out the tutorials to see if there are any extra tips you can pick up, right off the bat and, for anything else, don't hesitate to start a thread or ask around. Those of use with green stars are Dream Guides and more than happy to help with any questions you have.

Hope you enjoy the place, man. See you around.
