Hello, my name is Jordan. I found this site earlier today and after reading up on lucid dreaming, I decided to hop into bed in the hopes of having one of my own.

I had no LDs but I did remember to make note of the dreams I did have.

The first dream I had, I was eating cake. It is cheese cake, it had alot of orange frosting. My father was there asking me why I like cheese cake so much. I woke up and scrambled to find a pencil and paper to write all of it down.

In my second dream I was on top of a grass covered hill, there was a girl with me, she looked like an anime character though. Another girl approached us and the girl next to me said something to her, the other girl then ran away.

My third dream was the longest, it involved my brother, my cousin, and my father. We were all in a vehicle and I was the only one in the back seat. My dad was in between my cousin and brother in the front. The wheel was inbetween them too. I find it odd that I did not notice this as a sign of a dream. Anywho, my brother and cousin were talking about their class mates and after I made a joke about one of them my cousin started screaming at me and my brother seemed unhappy aswell.

That was it for my first attempt at LD/Recalling dreams. I found it odd that I did not catch the wheel problem, will I begin to notice things like that as I practice more?

By the way, I have had a lucid dream. It was when I was very young and my closet become full of weapons. I turned around to see a timer on the hood of a car in my room. I became very upset because I knew that it was a dream and when the time ended, I would wake up. I wanted to keep all of the weapons. I awoke in a bad mood.

      Hi Pyro

Yes, as long as you start practicing reality checks in waking life. You should stop yourself a few times a day to check if you are dreaming. Even if you already know you're awake, do the check anyways. Then, when you're sure you're awake, try to imagine what might have happened had you been in a dream.

This behavior will then carry into your dreams and when you perform a reality check (expecting to be awake), you'll catch yourself in a dream.

*said in sonny chiba japanese accent* Ahh, wercome wercome.

Sounds like a start. Don't worry about the wheel problem, there is pratically no way that you would learn lucid dreaming in an hour, but come back in a week or two and tell us about your first lucid. As long as you practice reality checks, it should eventually carry over. My first LD wasn't with a reality check, but after a while I started just noticing these odd things, no real issues. Like I said, don't worry too much about it. Just practice QUALITY reality checks, go look at penguin's guide somewhere around here...

Yeah, I also had quite a few lucids in the early years. Shame that that natural ability has vanished, now I have to work my ass off...

Oh, and pity you weren'y lucid for that part with the anime chick. She was a nice bishoujo, wasn't she? And she ran away... now if you were lucid, that would have changed. She's fall completely in love with you in traditional cute japanese style. Ahh... that would be the life. Yeah, I'm still waiting for Asuka to appear in my dreams... need to practise... argh

      I am from South Africa
