Hi, I'm PeBubble,
I've started reading articles about hypnosis and somehow came across "lucid dreaming" and it sounded quite interesting.
So i started googling around, and well, here I am

I would rank myself a Lucid Beginner right on the border to a Lucid Student according to this thread [link]

I've had a "lucid moment", i suddenly realized that a dream has started, could move my hands, but had hardly any control and a few seconds later everything became black and i woke up again. (and did a reality check)

I'm now trying different techniques to induce lucid dreams and am looking forward to getting some good results soon

If you want to know something about me, or have any additional tips, feel free to post them here.
(I can't stop you from doing so anyway )
I guess I'm quite close
Lucid Student, on my way to becoming a Lucid Tutor. (<- not really done much about it lately)

Hi and welcome to DV

You seem to be on the right track with learning the techniques, and having a "lucid moment" is quite good as well.
Have you checked the tutorials section, thats has lots of important information.

Do you have a dream journal? It is one of the most important tools to going lucid. Also reality checks help as well.

Hope that helps, see you around.

Welcome to DV, PeBubble

Like NeAvO said, the tutorials section will help you a lot, ther you can see all the induction methods. And I would recommend that you read;

Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by Stephen Laberge

It has loads of helpful information.

It's free, and I don't see any real restrictions to this, other than the fact that it can get a little slow sometimes =P

(sung to the tune of another one bites the dust)-

bom, bom ,bom... another one says hello
bom bom bom...... another one says hello
And another says hi and another says hi,
Another one says hello.

Hey, he's gonna greet you too,
another one says hello..............

Quick question...
Which book is better:
1.Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming
2.Lucid Dreaming: A Concise Guide to Awakening in Your Dreams and in Your Life
...both by Stephen Laberge.

Thanks!

2.Lucid Dreaming: A Concise Guide to Awakening in Your Dreams and in Your Life[/b]
The first one is way more comprehensive than the second. The second book is great for those who want to get a good summary of what lucid dreaming is and is more of a "Quick Start" guide compared to EWOLD.

However, the second book does come with an audio CD of meditation and MILD techniques and stuff. I personally haven't popped it into the player, but it might be helpful.

Stoat,
Damn it! Now that song's stuck in my head!!!

lol

Okay here we go:
- Yea i've read some of those tutorials, I'm trying to WILD but I somehow fail at finding the balance between thinking too much and not enough I either fall asleep or stay awake all the time, although i once got quite close i think -
Well the last days had been exhausting too much I guess :S
I'll keep trying

- Beside increasing dream-recall, what's the dream-journal good for? I can usually recall at least one dream per night, and during the day i randomly remember one or more other dreams i had the same night. Well mostly there's something which «makes» me remember the dream, often things which aren't connected to it though (at least, i cannot see the connection)

- And finally, thanks for the links to the books (i cannot understand why the book can bel legally viewed but not legally downloaded >.< this is kinda contradicting since when viewing it, it's cached somewhere... possible to copy, take screenshots... or is there a download-link which i'm too blind to see? ^^)
I guess I'm quite close

dream jornals can also be used to identify dream signs which is another way to induce lucidty. What u do is look for a common theme in most of your dreams and reality check if u see it in real life. Eventully this should carry into your dreams.
