      Is it supposed to take this long?

      I'd like to start of by saying: Hello, and thanks for the warm welcoming. I'm a 16 year old boy from sweden and I have been trying to get a lucid dream for about a month now but with no result at all. All the time I have kept a dream journal and it is quite full now. I have also performed reality checks frequently, and I have been doing MILD and WILD. The most frustrating technique is without a doubt the WILD since I can lie there for hours without anything happening, and after awhile that kinda drives you nuts. My question is simply: Is it normal that it takes this long?

      It completely depends on the person. Many people take a month or 2 to become lucid.

      My advice: Is to CHILL OUT, relax, and it will come. Also, set goals...for instance, you will recall 3 dreams a night, and you WILL HAVE A LUCID DREAM by April 25th...

      How much sleep are you getting? 8 hours is reccomended, you said that you are 16, so that shouldn't be that hard for you, being in high school.
      Also, set your alarm for REM cycles...set it first for 5 hours into sleep, then in 90 minute cycles.

      Welcome Moetrix.. Yep it does very with each distinct individual. But the desire must all be the same. You must want it in your heart and don't fret! whenever you don't achieve it just never give up. See ya around!
