I was wondering if you could tell me if I had a Lucid Dream.
Here's how it started . . . .

I had read about astral projection and was wondering about it so i decided to look it up on the internet and stumbled across lucid dreaming. I thought that I would have more luck with Lucid Dreaming than astral projection so I read up on it and then tried to take a nap and do experience it.( This is all in one day.) I started to get dreams but as soon as I relized that I was dreaming I woke up. I did this about 5 or 6 times. Finally I dreamed that I was going to bed and that my brother was sitting on another bed and that I shouldn't be scared because he was there and when I woke up he would be there so then I went to sleep and dreamed this inside my dream that I was in a cabin and was sitting on a bed and in front of me was a shirt where people had written their names on it and the names were kinda fuzzy. I turned around and someone walked in the door that I hadn't seen for a really long time. They said that someone wanted to see me. (They actually said a name but it was also fuzzy) I said ok and went to another bed. I then felt bumping on my head and I looked up and noticed that I had on a helment that I hadn't had on before that and that a hand with a white glove on it was hitting me in the head so I told myself that I had read that if you were having a nightmare you could eaisly get out of it. So I tried to open my eyes and couldn't I had to reach up and open my eyes and then I woke up. This all happened in about 15 min. I think that it was a lucid dream and was excited after I woke up, but I'm not really sure. So did I have a Lucid Dream?

Thanks, Carley

Sounds like you had a lucid dream even though you woke up right after realising you were dreaming (it usually happens on the first few lucids).

Welcome to the forum btw

Hi! Welcome to the forum.
A lucid dream is a dream, in which you know you are dreaming. So it sounds like you had quite a few. If you knew that you were dreaming in the second part (the nightmare part that is), then you had a lucid dream there too.
If you are interested in all this and want to keep doing it, I suggest you start a dream journal. It will help you improve your dream recall, or help you spot dream signs.
