I had a strange dream last night and I guess I was wondering what the symbolism may have been and if I may have had a glimpse of a lucid experience. Not to pain you with the contents of the dream, but nearing the end of it, I happened to be in a car with three total strangers that were committing suicide one by one with a gun. It was quite strange. But more importantly, at the very end, I had somehow realized the situation was not real in which I managed to gain some degree of control over the dream, or atleast the intuition to know it was a dream? It was a VERY strange experience, because it felt like I knew I was dreaming, but I was still a kind of passive-participant in the dream. Not sure. I'm new to all this...Any help or insight would be appreciated.

First off, welcome to DV, Rishi! (There's a tea company named Rishi and they have great chai&#33

It sounds like that was a lucid dream. The only qualification for an LD is that you know you're dreaming. Had you heard of LDing before you joined or did this dream inspire you to look into it further?

I don't place a whole lot of stock in dream interpretation, and if I do then I take more of a literal approach, such as most things in our dreams are a broken-mirror image of what goes on in reality. If you would like someone to give you their idea of what it means, feel free to post in the Interpretation Forum.

If you have any questions, feel free to poke around or ask. See you around!
