Hey guys new to the forum, but have been on another LD Forum for about 2 weeks, yesterday I think I just got the closest ive ever been to sleep paralysis atleast.(I cant remember fully how it went now I should of posted this right after I woke up but had to rush to work).

I went to bed, and after a while of me trying to stay awake and concentrate on my thoughts, I sort of remember rushing noises to a feint degree, my face was feeling wierd sort of swollen almost, and I started to feel like my right side of my body was possibly going into sleep paralysis, It sorta felt like my right side was paralyzed but I also didnt want to try and move to tell, incase I would ruin what I had goin. I can remember that I was getting really excited cause I knew what was going on, but at the same time sorta panicking and my heart started beating real fast. I knew what was going on so I was telling myself this is supposed to happen I want this to happen, but still couldnt lose that panicking feeling, this must have been when I lost it cause I can only remember waking up now.

This must of been the beginning of sleep paralysis I would think right? I remember being excited I could tell it comin, although it did only seem to be mostly my right side. I thought that I might have been close to paralysis about 3 weeks ago one night, but it couldn't of been because this time seemed much more obvious and when it was happening I remember I was telling myself it was happening, but still couldn't lose the panic.

Just thought I should share this and I guess get a confirmation, this must of been the beginning of sleep paralysis right?

Sounds like it. But sleep paralysis feels a bit different to some people.
Eg. I don't get a full blown paralysis and can still 'blow it' like you were worried about.
It was a good decision not to try move and break the paralysis, as tempting as it might be. For me at least, it buggers it all up.
It sounds like you just got too excited, which is quite normal if its the furthest you've been. You'll get the hang of it in time

      Good luck

Keeps getting better and better, I ended up phoning in sick so I would try that wake back to bed method today, so when I went back to bed I never got to sleep paralysis, but after about 30 min I was in a state where I figured I should just try to imagine my "spirit" body leaving my physical body, I was trying to sort of push my energy up and out of my body even though I dont know how to do that but I did what I thought may work.

Then all a sudden my feet started to lift in the air but I knew that my physical feet were still motionless on the bed, it seemed as if they were light as air or a helium balloon they just gently lifted upwards to about a foot it seemed while my mind seemed to be where my neck was to make up for the length adjustment of my legs going up.

Thats where it stopped though I guess and ended up waking up an hour later, but it felt really cool when it was happening cause I knew my physical body wasnt moving. During this I don't think I saw anything, I was just in my mind with blackness.

The problem I think im gonna have for all of this is remembering my dreams, I have a pretty bad memory and its hard enough for me to even remember 1 dream to be able to write down, and since thats the first step everyone says, I hope I can start to remember some because these last 2 days some wierd but cool stuff's goin on.

Yeah, some people dont even remember 1 dream, i know a friend who said he has never had a dream in his life LOL. The closest so far i have been to a AP was my arm floating, unfortunantly i lost focus and woke straight up so suddenly.
