Introducing your new resident metal-head..... ME!

Hey everyone! I'm Steve, and i'll be your resident metal-head from now on. I found this forum through Google, and was reading up on it last night.

Take your best guess what happened last night

      *HUGE POST WARNING*

Hooray for the lucid dream! It was fairly simple, but it was there. Any spelling mistakes are due to the following being typed at 4:30AM.

First of all, in my first dream, i went to go see a performance at my old middle school with my brother and my mom, except the whole place was covered in brightly lit McDonalds advertising, and it was at night. Me and my brother almost got hit multiple times in the parking lot, as no-one had their headlights on. When we went inside, there was one small area of bleachers, that everyone was sitting on, and i went to sit down, but i was trying to avoid wet areas. My mom told me to get over it and sit down. We were watching a band do Nirvana covers, with that old guy from Nelly's Batter Up video doing vocals. It kicked ass. On the side, i also say that guy with the massive dreads from that funk group getting ready to come out to perform. Suddenly, you could see reflected sunlight off the floors and walls of the gym we were in, and my brother started talking, until someone told him to shut up, and then the reflected light went away. I got up to go get something from the concession (which suddenly appeared to my left btw), and went in and got some very crappy pizza. I encoutered a girl from my band class (Amee), and we talked about something, like this little device that broadcasted when you didn't like something, no matter how much you said you did. She said you needed some cog to get one. So, with crappy pizza in hand, i went to go back to the bleachers, except now it looked more like the inside of a club, with a huge 'banquet booth' that my mom, my brother, and now my dad were occupying. Before i got there, someone with one of the aforementioned devices got in my way and took a bite out of their pizza, and the device went off. Good for them. When i sat down with my family, i noticed that they had ordered a much better pizza from Pizza Hut, with the notable occurrence that there was no Pizza Hut logos anywhere to be seen. So, after taking a few bites out of my shitty pizza, i went to get a piece of the good one. That's as far as i can remember with this one.

Now here's dream #2, or as i'll call it, Lucid Dream #1. I still can't believe i had one!

It's pretty simple, it started out in what i think was a studio of some sort, probably radio (specifically 99.3 The FOX, because i listen to that a lot). In front of me, were a pair of monkeys with laptops, supposedly searching for www.cfox.com's Geek of the Week (or something similar). I remember seeing a backwards E on a screen, which i picked off with my finger. It's at this point, staring at the E, that i realized i was dreaming and became lucid. I said to myself i wanted to see a tv. The studio faded, and eventually i saw a tv. Then i wanted to be in my room, and the tv turned out to be on my bed, and what was on it was what i was seeing, just without the tv. I thought to myself, i need to go to the washroom, so i went through the door to my room, across the hall, and into the washroom, where i willed the lights on, and they slowly lit. I looked in the mirror, and saw something weird; First things first, i was wearing a sweater with a myriad of shapes on it, in various colours. Secondly, my hair (which was bleached in RL, and is about half/half now) was a huge mop of dirty blond, about halfway between my natural colour and my bleachied colour. Aslo, i didn't have any of the facial hair i do in RL (small goatee, chops down the side of my face). I then went towards the toilet, but then thought 'It's a dream, i don't really have to go, and if i do, i might lose lucidity'. With that i willed the lights off, and returned to my room. The tv that was on my bed had now become a computer monitor, on my table in the opposite location my real one is. On it was a website the monkeys had looked at, and there were little animal shapes floating around on the screen, and off it too. I thought there should be more, and there were.

And that's about where i work up,did 4 or 5 RT's, and sat down to type this. I know the lucid dream isn't that interesting, but at least it proves how easy it is to have one.

      Nice to meet ya!

Nice to meet you too! Let me be the first to welcome you to the forums.

That sounds awesome, I didn't have my first lucid until a long time after I found out about it. Congrats, it sounded fun. I wish you more soon!

I think its great that you are taking the initiative to make a dream journal already. Many people don't have the resolve to get up that early to record something.

Any and all kinds of metal, specifically excluding Grindcore metal with vocals. Vocals in that genre sound like a cat in a blender set to 'Sadistic'. Otherwise it's good, especially for wargaming. I also listen to just about any other genre of music, with another exception being Rap/Horrorcore.

      My picks of the minute;

      Guns N' Roses - Appetite for Destruction(album)
Final Fantasy 6 Symphonic Metal Arrangement
      Metroid Metal
Vomitron - Contra . Can be found at the Metroid Metal site.

Thanks man. It's a screencap from Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children.

Seeker, Rammstein is my favourite band on the face of the planet. I have almost all their songs, including about 3-4 that were never released. The only ones i don't have are the 2 in Russian. I think they did those ones for the 100th anniversary of Harley Davidson. My personal favourite Rammstein tracks are Buch Dich, Heirate Mich, and Ich Will.

Look for a new single from Rammstein in May, and a new album in the fall, followed by a tour of Europe. The new albu supposedly will incorporate more classical elements, and one track will sound 'like nothing they have ever done before'. Rumors also abound of Rammstein and Tatu collaborating on a track or two for the new album, most likely Moskau (Moscow)

For more info on Rammstein, not to mention a lot of live audio and video, go to http://www.herzeleid.com

eh, de4dmeta1, do you realize what they're actually saying? most their songs are totally retarded...then again most songs in general are totally retarded...im not saying Rammstein is bad, just, y'know, stupid lyrics...like most bands nowadays...

I have a fair idea about what the vocals actually mean in most of their songs (especially the ones in English ), but i simply don't care. If i listened to music for the lyrics, i'd probably only have a 12 track winAmp playlist, instead of a 345 track winAmp playlist, and 2 gigs even of music.

But then the occasional track rolls along that actually has lyrics with a meaning behind them. Proof that originality isn't dead, but not alive and well.

Ah. I'm so scared. I'm shaking in my booties.

      I never said i was THE resident metal-head, just A resident metal-head.

And note both of us metal-heads are from BC. Odd.
