i have been here a little while, just never signed up till recently. i have never had a ld, but the thing is i have never actually TRIED to have one. i knew that they can be changed/controled, i just never tried to. i know i can do it, if i can stay awake long enough. i had dreams as a kid, and i can remember those easy stll even today.

i have always had an insanely good memory, i can even still remember things i did when i was a baby. i can even tell people about them if they would like. some of them were weird, and some of them were unexplainable.

if only there was a way to use my exceptional memory to have lds, i know i could have many without much effort i am sure.

welcome to dv man . wow you can remember stuff from when you were a baby huh? that must be pretty neat. Dream recall is a little different from regular memory though. it sounds like dream recall shouldnt be to much of a problem for you though lol.

good luck getting your first ld. i remember mine. it was the most amazing experience ive ever had. never knew somthing be so life like.

thanks, i am sure i can do it, just have to figure out how. i might start a thread in the general non ld section, and tell everyone some of the weird/scary/funny things i did as a kid. some of it WILL freak people out.

im not giving up yet, i don't give up easy.

i know a story that happened to me as a kid, that could freak some people out, and the thing is no one knows how i survived it. i will definately have to post it, and see if anyone can figure it out because i sure can't.

      to the forum, Lordalmar!

Even though you have a good memory for things, I'd still recommend keeping a dream journal. Dreams, especially small details, can slip away so quickly and easily - I'm sure you probably forget more than you think. Looking back into your DJ will help you recognize your common dreamsigns so you can be more aware of them during your dreams and hopefully become lucid easier.

Please let us know if you have any questions - and feel free to post your experiences.

      Good luck and have fun!

i just read a topic about the brain on another part of the board, and i figured out what i was missing. if i can get any of the techniques to work, i can become lucid at will i am positive. it turns out, that i am left brained. that means if i can get into a dream, i should instantly be lucid.

seems all i need to do now is find a technique that works well for me. after i find the right tech, the rest is cake for me.
