      Unhappy

      <div align="left">Just like the majority of posts made here, I&#39;m new..</div>
      <div align="left">And, of course, with inexperience comes questions </div>

      Uhm, my name is Alyshia and I&#39;m fifteen.. My first lucid dream was several years ago,
      and I&#39;ve had an interest in it for a while.. but soon forgot. Now I&#39;m a bit older, a bit more patient,
      and willing to try again

      I keep a dream journal and all that fancy stuff...

      I had my most recent lucid dream yesterday, during a nap which I had purely to test the WILD tecnique. I had "medium control" [according to a nice little scale I read earlier] and it lasted.. er.. 3 minutes dream time?

      I do have a question though, hopefully it isn&#39;t too newbish...

      I&#39;ve recently noticed that both times I was lucid [and remembered], it was followed by a false awakening [neither of which I recognized until I woke...]. I&#39;ve never had a false awakening otherwise, and only hear about them in discussions related to lucid dreaming. Is there some sort of relation between the two?

      I&#39;m really sorry if this is long..
      Or if any of it didn&#39;t make sense..
      But thanks&#33;
      I&#39;m looking forward to talking with you all..
      [man.. I love smilies.. heh..]

      About your question about false awakenings they can be very helpful and very hurtful when lucid dreaming. Most of the time they can cause to lose lucidity, but they can make you lucid if you do reality checks right after you wake up.

      Thanks a lot

      And yes, I&#39;m aware of that..

      I just wonder about the relation between LDs and false awakenings, because

      I&#39;ve never heard of a time where an FA was had by somebody who hadn&#39;t also recently LDed.

      hmmm... I was just wondering if perhaps, FAs were somehow triggered by LDs?

      Hi and welcome to DV&#33;
      I think FAs happen douring LDs sometimes because you expect yourself to wake up (because of something that happened in the dream) and then you just dream about awakening. That&#39;s something that could make sense, yes?
      See you aroound&#33;
