Welcome to Dv Don Juan |

First of all I would like to say that I am delighted to be a new member here. I have been having lucid dreams on and off for about 15 years now but would love to have more regularity with them. I became interested in lucid dreams through another interest. OBE. I experienced my first (realized) lucid dream by simply being interested in the subject of OBE. Once I had my first lucid dream I have had many since. I never had disciplined myself however and would simply just have lucid dreams by being interested in the subject. I have committed myself recently to actively practicing techniques that should give me even more success. |

In the process of realizing the dream, abandon all feeling of fear; And, if the dream be of fire, transform the fire into water, the antidote of fire. And if the dream be of minute objects, transform them into large objects; Or if the dream be of large objects, transform them into small objects: Thereby one comprehendeth the nature of dimensions.
And if the dream be of a single thing, transform it into many things; Or if the dream be of many things, transform them into a single thing. - Tibet

Hey Don Juan - welcome to the forum |
|
Thanks! I picked this avatar because the one common theme that I experience when I go lucid is that I look at my hands in my dreams. |

Yeah, studying your hands as a reality check works really well for some people. I think a lot of people also use it as a stabilization technique once you're lucid - I've done this a few times to stabilize the LD once I realize I'm lucid, and it works quite well! |
|
The hands thing for me brings me to full lucidity rather than just stabilizing it. It seems that if I wonder if I am dreaming I do this and it is just an auto response to do so. |

I don't think having blue eyes makes her not an albino, because the color blue is not caused by a pigment, but something about the way the light diffracts (refracts?); it is the same reason the sky is blue. This is the same for blue jays--no blue pigment in their feathers. |

Thanks! Mousie is pretty unique. I will try and post some pics of her sometime. I am planning on buying a new camera in the next month or so and will try to post some pics of my cats. They are both rescue kittys that I found as strays when they were just kittens. Mookie the black male is a real lap baby. He dosn't take no for an answer either. When I am typing at the computer I usually have no choice but to let him in my lap. He will keep sneaking and jumping into it no matter how many times I set him down. Mousie which is a tiny cat is much more the independent one. Everything has to be on her terms although she is very loving also. |

You're gonna fit in real well here, what with all the cat talk. |
