I'm 15 years old, and I've had about 10-15 lucid dreams in my life. I've been trying to lucid dream since I was about 10, and am currently keeping a dream journal. I've been looking for a place to talk about dreams, and I found this... a very nice forum. Oh yeah, by the way, who's this "Leo Volont" I keep hearing about?

Welcome to the forum, Onion! Glad to have you aboard. You've definitely come to the right place to hone your LDing abilities. Check out the tutorials, and particularly the Quick Start tutorial to get started.

Hey onion, welcome to the board!

Sounds like you're gonna be good fun to have around, maybe drop by and visit the IRC Chat thingy...

      Hmph.

Leo was an ex-member here, and he's been banned.
I didn't realise people were still talking about him.

      Welcome!
In the process of realizing the dream, abandon all feeling of fear; And, if the dream be of fire, transform the fire into water, the antidote of fire. And if the dream be of minute objects, transform them into large objects; Or if the dream be of large objects, transform them into small objects: Thereby one comprehendeth the nature of dimensions.
And if the dream be of a single thing, transform it into many things; Or if the dream be of many things, transform them into a single thing. - Tibet

Hey, thanks guys (a warm welcome is something you don't get on most forums). Last night, I read one of the tutorials on WILDing, and went to bed at about 10:30. I woke up at 4:30 for no reason at all, which was strange because I always wake up at around 7:00. I thought to myself "I should try to WILD. So I did all the stuff it said in the tutorial, and just relaxed. All I remember now is drifting off into sleep, and going straight into a dream (not lucid, sadly)... well, I guess it was okay for a first try.

Oh yeah, I was just lurking here for a few days before I joined, and it seemed like someone mentioned Leo in almost every thread, haha... why exactly was he banned?

Long... long story short, he was belligerant to other members here on the board even after being warned multiple times. He was banned several months ago, so it's wierd to see people still talking about him. That's the story; he's gone (off to bother other forums) and we move on

Haha, I looked and read some of his older posts... very strange. Anyway, thanks, it's nice to have finally found a place where I can talk about all the stuff I want to talk about and not get strange "you're obsessed with dreams and other weird stuff" looks. Well, I guess tonight I'm going to try WILDing again... you never get better if you don't try, right?
