I heard about LD a few days ago and thought I'd try it, so I came here. I don't think my dream recall is good at all, I remeber 1 dream every 2 weeks if I'm lucky. My sleep amount might have something to do with it, I usually get 4-6 hours a night, but I've been trying to get more, last night I got 8 hours, but I still didn't remember any dreams. I also have a quetion about lucid dreams. When you have one, does it seem like reality, or does it feel different once you get lucidity.

that is easy to fix. just start a dream jornal. it may be hard at first cause you cant remember any dreams but it helps alot in the end.

mostly it depends on how vivid the dream is. Ive had lucid dreams that were identical to real life. like if you got up from your computer and looked around ive had LDs as vivid as that. even down to tasting flaming hot cheetos that somehow apeared on my bed. but ive also had lucid dreams where i couldnt even keep my eyes open lol . A way to increase how vivid your dreams are is again, keeping a dream jornal.

so basicly start a dream jornal
      Total lucid dreams=88

      Welcome zxc.

Getting more sleep time can definitely help you improve your recall. More sleep = more chances to dream and recall. Plus the length and frequency of dream periods increase during the night, so if you get plenty of sleep you have a good chance of having longer and more frequent dreams. Keeping a journal is a big part of it, also. Try keeping a pad by your bed and jotting down whatever you can remember when you wake up from a dream. Even if it's just a few words to start, you'll find yourself remembering more if you keep at it.

My own LD experiences have seemed very realistic, but also with odd little quirks. Things that seem very solid tend to shift and change. I've had LDs where one of my senses is unnaturally sharp and another one is "washed out". It's hard to explain. Hopefully you'll find out for yourself soon. Good luck!
