maybe some of you are already aware of this but here goes......

Due to a sleeping disorder that I have, I have found that the Herbal remedy Valerian Root is very beneficial to helping one achieve a deeper sleep than typical. Not that it suppresses your ability to wake from sleep, but provides a deeper sleep state for a longer period. But the best is this...

because of the improved deeper sleep, I have found that it induces dream recalling at a far increased rate than ever before. When I told friends of this and they tried it, they were freaked out but the clarity of the dream state (like dreaming in color, etc.). Also they remembered the dreams in much greater detail than normal. Almost scary actually.

Valerian Root acts on the body as does a benzodiazepine class of drug (valium, xanax) but without the side-effects or dangers. The only real side-effect is the dreaming.

Valerian root can be acquired at most pharmacies or health food stores. Oh and Valerian is one of the most widely prescribed remedies in Europe.
