      I'm a little new one..

Hi there ! I'm deff new to alllll of this. *mavrix* and me got to talking about dreaming and he directed me here, and wow.. I've always wondered if it was possible.. but never thought to accually research it.

I came here yesterday, but wanted to read the whole site before I posted. Veeerry interesting. Last night I tried the whole dream recall deal. I didnt wake myself up, but remembered four seperate dreams. I usually remember at least one per night, but either accidentally forget it or try to forget it. My dreams are usually really surreal.. and usually really weird. But I will be back, no doubt, I just wanted to drop a line, see who all's out here .

I have a lot of dreams where I either cant see, or I have random points where I cant see. I hear things, and I know what's going on, or who I'm talking to, but cant see anything. Last night everytime I even started to dream I woke up, but I think it was just nerves or something. But does anyone know anything about why I cant see half the time ?

When you talk of knowing what is going on, do you mean in a Lucid or concious state of a dream or would you refer to this as a regular dream?
The nerve thing is normal starting out. You are excited and expecting somthing when you awake.
This could be a very good thing. You mat be on the verge of Lucidity. And when you run across the same problem it would be a good dream sign. You can tell yourself that you are dreaming!!!!

      I had a similar problem.

Ah.. It's hard to explain. Sometimes I think I know I'm dreaming, but its really strange. It's like I know that I am in the dream.. and I am interacting with people and what-not.. but I just cant see anything. It's like a movie where you cant see the screen, only hear what's going on. Sometimes I dont think I can really control what I'm doing, because I'm not me (if that makes sence). A lot of my dreams I just watch like movies, but last night all of my dreams were just.. blank screens, more or less, haha.

Your own dreams are very hard to explain to somone else.
I can't say for sure but it sounds to me like you are neck and neck with becoming fully Lucid. Becoming Lucid is Like waking up in your dream. To me at least that is how it feels. You may be in a state of influx where you may not be aware of your capabilities as far as Lucidity goes. When you realize you are at this point and you have know boundries besides your own mind your next "blind" expieriance may be the real deal!!!!

      WELCOME ROBYN!!!!!!

Don't worry you will soon meet more of our alledged female members such as Paperdoll and WerBurN...

It's great that you have developed an interest in lucid dreaming and I am sure after a while, and with some effort, you will no doubt achieve this state...
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...
