I spent a month trying to LD last year- soon I stopped trying out of frustration. The only LD that I ever had was way before I ever knew what a LD was and that LD only lasted for a minute or two. Which method should I use? I tried WILD and that didnt seem to work, maybe because I was scared, i dunno... I might try MILD but do I really have to stay awake for an hour for it to work? Thanks for any help!

Don't give up! It takes some people a long time to get the habit of LDing. Its best to not try a WILD yet because it can be kind of scary if you don't know what to expect. Just get use to looking for dream signs and do lots of reality checks during the day so you get use to it.

      You can do it!

Start out by just doing a lot of reality checks. Think about LDing a lot. But don't let it frustrate you- go at it in a playful kind of manner.

DOn't give up// i took me 3-4 months of hard work to get my first LD..

Do a LOT Of RC like 50 per day, it really helped me to have more Lds..

      Try DILD...

Are you doing a Dream Journal?? if not start on that.. dream recall is very important.
(and dont force Lds, make them come natural)

      good luck..

      Practise...

Initially, I was frustrated too, I went about it very intently, and was irritated by the lack of immediate and noticeable progress. After a week or so though, I took a more laid back approach to it, and found it much more successful.

Just keep improving recall and doing RC's, like others have said. Most of all, just take it as it goes, don't try to force it and accept that it may take some time.

      Have fun
