Hey everybody, Im new to lucid dreaming. I read a lot about it last night, and found out that Ive had a bunch of experiences related to this! I had this dream about a year ago, I was running down a road with fences on the side, and a car was chasing me! I didnt know it was a dream, but I could control myself and I was thinking, "Why is this car chasing me??". I also remember a few cases of sleep paralysis, in fact I think I had one this morning.

So two days ago, I decided to start a dream journal. I didnt think it would work because I NEVER remember my dreams. But before I went to sleep I said to myself, "You will remember these dreams, and when you wake up you will write them down." Lo and behold, I woke up and remembered 3 dreams! Weird! They were really weird, I dont see how I didnt realise, even since Ive been researching so much about lucid dreaming.

Ever since I saw that movie The Grudge, I always see that grudge girls face when Im in a really dark place, or when Im alone. I know that might seem weird since Im 17 and all, but that grudge face is just burned into my minds eye! So Im afraid that as soon as I (if I can even do it) get my first lucid dream, Ill remember the grudge and she will come to torment me. I also fear that if I get sleep paralysis Ill see her. Its happened before, and that feeling of pure terror is just bad!

Well I have to go eat, see you guys around!
They say curiosity killed the cat...
Fortunately, I am not a cat.

Hello! I just started getting interested in Lucid Dreaming a few days ago, same as you have. It's a pleasure to meet someone just starting out like myself.

Yeah, it is freaky how a dream journal can help you remember, I don't know why it works so well. I guess it's just because we're thinking more about dreams now. I remember that a few days ago before I read an article on lucid dreaming I'd never thought much about my dreams, I pretty much took them for granted.

Hmmm, that's why I don't like scary movies because for a long time afterwards I'll always go around a corner expecting to run into a monster or something. I'm 16 and I still get jumpy at night after watching something scary so it's nothing wierd to me. Maybe if you see her in a lucid dream you can grab a flashlight or something stronger(*cough*submachinegun)and drive her away. You got the power, so I'm sure there's something that you could do that may even get rid of her once and for all.

I've heard of sleep paralysis but I don't know specifically what it is. Is it when you feel numb all over and you can't move real good? Or is that something different?

Welcome to this fine establishment, it's been a lot of fun for me since I signed up, I hope you have as good an experience here as me.

Hi there, welcome to Dream Views!

Dream journals are wonderful things, aren't they? You don't realise how much they help until you start one.

Also, don't worry about seeing that grudge girl in your lucid dreams, you'll [k]know[/b] she's not real, so in turn you'll see there's nothing to be scared of. Lucid dreams can be handy for getting rid of our fears.
