Hey everyone,

For the past few years, I've been able to recall my dreams pretty well. Almost every dream I have, or at least every memorable dream I have, I remember.

I was thinking the other day that it would be cool to control your dreams (after seeing an ad for good morning america ) and I looked here...

I want to try WBTB (I think that's the acronym) but I'm having a problem. First off, I can't sleep on my back. Every time I do, I lay there for a few minutes, regardless of how tired I am, and it eventually becomes too uncomfortable. I can't seem to keep my eyes closed.

Second, I have trouble holding the feeling when I get close. I've gotten to the point where I feel intense vibrations, and then I get nervous, my heart starts to beat fast, and I am fully awakened.

I would like to resolve both of these issues, so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum, Evan

I think you may be talking about WILD, not WBTB. Here is the list of acronyms for reference. And if you can't sleep on your back, then don't. Everyone's different so everyone needs to tweak the specific techniques to fit you the best. I'm not a WILD expert so I can't give any useful advice about it, but search around the forum and you'll find plenty of info.

Good luck and have fun!

I have tested dreaming in all positions. Left and Right side seem to be the best. Left side last night I was able to WILD for the first time. (and it ROCKED&#33

I started out on my back. Got pretty close, then rolled over and got there..

If you're getting the vibrations, you are on the brink. Someone else posted that breathing heavier helped get them through.

I personally didn't feel the vibrations. I did once while waking and trying to attempt a WILD in the past, but not yet while trying to WILD. For me, it's like I go in and out of conciousness, hearing sounds in theh room, then conversations, other sounds, etc, in the dream world. Back and forth.

I also feel like a lead blanket is put over me.

After succesfully WILDing last night, I figured my experiences may be slightly different. Before I would fight the "voices" and sounds I heard, thinking it was my mind wandering.

Hopefully every night one of the voices will tell me to open my eyes... man, I still can't get over how COOL the WILD was.. and I've DILD'd for years with varying success.

find a reason to not sleep on your side, for me it was drooling, I got tired of this so now I always sleep on my back with no problems and stopped the drooling
in your wildest dreams you couldn't picture a bogan like me, haha

HAHAHAHA nice... any way, welcome to the forum. im sorta new at this stuff and have been working on WILD for a while - iv gotten sooo close, but then i wake up - but any way, the times Iv gotten closest, i was on my back. I found that when i tried on my side, I was too comfortable and i fell asleep too easily which is a problem when WILDing. if you get uncomfortable, just ignor it and perservire (sp?) - from what iv read, the uncomfortable thing is normal. also, do a RC when you are "shure" that you woke up cause ppl say that you can sometimes wake up in your dream in your bed so you think your awake. people have even said that they write stuff in their journals and wake up to find that they were dreaming and never wrote anything.

good luck and happy dreams
