Hello everyone, my names Dark_Sniper. Until about a week ago I had no idea lucid dreaming had even existed. I Googled it and this site came up so here I am O.o I attempted a WILD a few days ago and I think I was close, but I'm not sure.. so heres what happened.

I woke up (4:00am), turned my alarm off, drank some water and then closed my eyes and didn't move for 40 mins. After 40 mins of nothing, I started to feel a weird tingling in my body and all of a sudden my body felt light as a feather, but it also felt like my bed was trying to pull me down at the same time! Really weird! Anyways this continued for I think a couple of minutes, after it stopped I opened my eyes and did a reality check to make sure it wasn't a false awakening (which it wasn't). Then I rolled over and went to sleep

Was I close? If so what can I do next time to improve?

Thank you all for your support ^^

Hey Dark Sniper! Welcome to Dreamviews!

The WILD is a very advanced and very difficult way to become Lucid. Its dubbed the best once mastered, as it allows you to have them at will, but this amazing feat takes a lot of work to accomplish. For a newbie LDer, its best to start off with easier methods.

You've got to walk before you can run, and crawl before you can walk. First thing you should worry about is your Dream Recall. How many dreams can you remember a night? Always keep a Dream Journal!

As well, the best method is the DILD, which is simply realizing your dreaming, while dreaming. The best way to do this, is to Reality Check, Reality Check, Reality Check! Always ask yourself during the day "Am I dreaming? Is this real?" Turn this into a habit, and eventually you'll start to do it during your dreams.

Anyway, there is a lot of information here that you can easily find by just looking around. Be sure to check out the Tutorials Section, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask. We have a very nice and smart community that would love to help.

      Happy Dreaming!
