Your far from a freak! In fact, you'll find your part of a group that is more along the lines of special, as your a natural at something many people think is new agish, or don't even know about.

Being a natural things'll come to you much easier here, and you should fit right in

      Happy Dreaming!

About being a light sleeper: Yes, I think it has a LOT to do with LDing and dreaming in general. It is my belief that the lighter a sleeper someone is, the more likely they are to have better natural recall and chances of spontaneous lucidity. I myself am a very deep sleeper and have to really work to get recall and lucidity.

Yeah. So, I think you're right on the mark, and being a light sleeper is relevant.

      Thanks for the PM!

My husband is also a very deep sleeper. He would love to have a LD, but he hasn't been able to yet. He's just beginning the process though. I wish I could help him (and others) but I have no idea how I do what I do. That's something I want to try to figure out.

Well, it's all to do with recall techniques. I would advise that he tires mnemonically training himself to wake up slowly after a dream. Also, drink a lot of water before bed, this can help you sleep lightly. Also, and this is something I am experimenting with, but using brainwave entrainment to make the brain sleep more lightly during REM periods. Though for this, you need an iPod or mp3 player, and good inner ear earphones.
