      Hello everyone.

I have just started to take interest in LD, and it sounds incredible. I have not yet had a lucid dream, although a few times during a dream I have realized I am dreaming, but nothing happened and the dream progressed normally.

My questions are: When you are lucid, do you think like you would when you are conscious, or do you think fuzzy like in a normal dream? How real does the dream seem? Is a LD like the everyday reality world only you can control it, or is it hazy?

      Thanks for your help

      Hey there! Welcome to Dreamviews!

It can be both. Some dreams are incredibly vivid and real feeling, others can be dull and not feel so real.

      Welcoming to dream views!

Sometimes it is completely random but it is quite possible to increase the clearness of a dream after becoming lucid. You can do this by shouting "INCREASE LUCIDITY NOW!", looking at your hands, or rubbing your hands together.

By definition, that is a lucid dream--you realized that you were dreaming. There is a spectrum of vividness, control, and clarity of lucid dreams ranging from very low level to hyper-real with a large amount of control.
