      Hello!

I have a question! Im new in Lucid dreaming. I seem to have succeded once while i was learning dream recall. But.. The dream was so.. Not clear, and it was like i was dreaming that im dreaming. Dreaming of being lucid if you know what i mean.

Those the sharpness of ones dream increase with LD or with training dream recall? How is it when your LDing. Is everything sharp or 'fuzzy'. Because i dont want to learn lucid dreaming to find out its fuzzy like normal ones.

Is there any way to improve sharpness and reality?

      Thank You!

I'm new to LD'ing as well, but I have had my share of LDs. All of mine have been very vivid and clear, however mine only lasted about 30 sec. Personally, I get too excited during a LD and I wake up soon after. After I realize that I am in fact dreaming, and that I am free to do whatever I please - I'll do something, but then my awareness becomes too great, and I see myself back in my bed where I will soon wake up. ANyway, that's just something I have to work on. For you, if you keep getting better at LD'ing they will become more clear as you go.

As in regular dreams, level of detail in lucid dreams can vary, from almost none, to more than when you're awake. Mine are typically just a little less vivid than in real life, but have been both much more and much less vivid. As for ways to increase realism, there are several techniques that work well.

The best technique is to be more aware of details in your waking life. Normally in our lives, we ignore most of the details around us, noticing little more than what we're focusing on. This leads to dreams with a similar lack of detail. If you make a strong effort to be as aware as possible of all the details around you, from all your senses, this will lead your dreams to become similarly detailed.

If you want to try increasing the detail from within the dream, there are ways to do that as well. One of the more successfull ones is spinning around in circles, while focusing on the feeling of spinning, and your sight. Rubbing your hands together, while paying attention to how that feels can also work. The one that works best for me is staring at your hands, and trying to see them in as much detail as they are in real life. In a couple of seconds, they should gain sharpness, and so will the details around you. All these methods also serve to increase the length of the lucid dream. They will generally work pretty well on their own, but you'll get the best results if you combine them with increasing awareness while awake.

I've only had one LD so far, that was very short and was exactly like how you described. It was very fuzzy and it seemed like I was dreaming I was lucid. Glad to see I'm not alone in this kind of experience

First and foremost blinkskater i love your avatar. I experience this alot, I feel once I realize I'm dreaming, It becomes more like a poor quality movie. There are ways to get aound this. Feel textures, Look around, talk to people, and engage. Tell yourself: "This is my brain" "Here, I am god" (sorry if that sounds provocative, no bad intentions ),
      but yeah

It increases when you increase it and then it remains so.
Try touching things, looking at details, try touching your own body. Touching is by far the best thing you can do to prolong a LD and increase its quality. I don't mean just do it, then stop it and do whatever you want. You must do it throughout a LD all the time and take some time in between to do other things if you want.
This way your LDs will gain lifelike quality, but it won't happen very quickly. You must put some amount of work into it, nothing happens just like that.
