Hi Everyone!

Hello!
After a couple hours searching for a good forum on lucid dreaming or other paranormal things, I realized they all sucked, except for this one!

I'm not a total newb; I've been learning and trying since November. Dream journal started January 1st, and since then I've had two lucid dreams. I hope to eventually get one every night ^_^\
I've also been studying psionics (I'm not saying I've had any success with it though...) and OBEs/Astral Projection, which I think are mostly the same thing.

I hope I'll make some good friends here!

One random thing I want to point out for no reason: I'm not good at making long posts. So whenever a topic turns into an intense discussion with every post being a screen long, I'm probably not going to join in the discussion but I'm still reading it. Why I wanted to mention that, I don't know...

Hey welcome to DV!

Seems like you're doing pretty well so far, 2 LD's under your belt already. And if you're looking for some more help with psionics/OBEs/Astral Projection, be sure to check out the Beyond Dreaming section of the forum.

Oh, and short pointless posts, that's got to be the Senseless Banter.

Thanks for the quick reply! I'm going to like it here...

I'll outline my recent LD because I have nothing else for this post.

I woke up early on saturday morning to try to LD with the help of one of those CDs with someone constantly saying "You are dreaming. Do a reality check." Give me a break, I'm a beginner and I'm impatient

So, I looked at the clock after a while. 9:00, I guess I was able to fall asleep with that voice. I blink, then its 9:10. I notice and think I might have fallen asleep for 10 minutes. So I turn my head away, then look back at the clock: it was around 3:25! So now I realize "**** yes! Lucidity finally!"
Here's the sad part. Since I'm such a beginner I didn't realize by now that I didn't have to pull my finger to see if it streches (my standard RC). So I did, and I lost sight and my head started tingling as I felt a floating sensation (like what I assume the floating sensation is like when trying to have an OBE). I got excited and woke up.

Welcome. Thankfully, this was the first site I came upon when looking for information so I was saved the hassle of sorting through the garbage.

I'm not good at intense discussion either. I'm just not intense I suppose. I usually forget what I'm discussing about in the middle of the discussion...
