One possible danger I could see, and I'm sure I have read about too... would be on more of a personal and social danger.
Would be for Lucid dreaming to become addictive...

If it really is good as people say and you can obtain full lucidity frequently then you might endup liking your dream world much more than the real would and as a result become more reclusive and spend all your time sleeping or possibly popping pills to induce sleep... which would in turn actually end up being physically dangerous.

This is actually an apprehension and concern that my sister has for me, but I don't think I'd ever let it get to that stage.
