In light of me being really bored: I declare this my official greeting.
----------

Hello, new people and their loved ones! In the interest of saving time and avoiding a lot of boring chitchat later, I'm ExoByte; you can call me Exo. I'm one of few people greeting on this board.

The rays of sunshine who run this Forum are Seeker and Icedawk. They run the whole forum, so unfortunately they're usually much too busy to deal with you. I am a bored... certified member with a double specialty of greeting and picking off newbies. I am also the only member currently on this board who is forced to be here against his will(Not really, but just go with it). But not to worry, because for most of you, this job could be done by a monkey with a bottle of Blue Light. Speaking of which, this is my posting colour. It's mine! You can't have it! If you're particularly annoying, you may see me reach for this : this is a sniper. It's also mine! You can't have it either! And no, I do not have a people problem, I am just a bored blue-posting user. But who knows? Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I'm drugged and too stoned to tell. So... who wants me? (Aye1)

And who would rather wait for one of the other guys?(Aye2)

Hi Exo,
I'm totally new to this kind of stuff but I was hoping for some answers to my weird dreaming experiences and I found this website. Since you seem willing to help here I go. For as long as I can remember I've had many instances where I know I'm dreaming. The problem is that it scares me and I make myself wake up. It takes all my strength to "push" myself awake. Afterwards If I don't turn on the TV or radio I'll fall back into, what I've just discovered, is a lucid dream. The other day I heard someone say that when they know they're dreaming they fly. So last week when I was on my third lucid dream (and although I was scared because the light switch wouldn't work and I'm always scared in these dreams) I remembered to try and fly. So, I got up on a stool and flew/glided in my room. I couldn't believe it worked so I did it again and flew to my bed. Then I woke myself up for the third time because it creaped me out. For the first two dreams I just woke myself up the minute I realized I was dreaming. So, my question to you is how do I stop from being scared in my dreams. Also, is there another way of waking yourself up that isn't so exausting?
Like I said I'm new to this kind of stuff especially writting to a total stranger so if I'm going about this the wrong way please let me know.
thanks for your time,
flygirl

Instead of waking yourself off, fight off what ever is scaring you. Its your dream, your mind. Your in control. Remember, its only a dream. If your in a nightmare and realize its a dream, you can fight it off. Do you ever remember people telling you "Don't worry, its just a dream. It can't hurt you." Well its true! Keep this realization when you dream, and instead of scary thoughts you should be fine

Hi flygirl,

Maby you could try changing your soroundings into something comfortable. Like endless, grassy plains on a sunny day for example. That worked well for me once, because I usually become lucid in my room and it all has a scary feel to it.

Aloha and greetings!

I am, of course, the REAL jolly roger, non of that fake crap.

Ive been practicing LDs for about 6 months now, and had my first one a few months ago

I hail from the "ghettos" of ld4all...
...yeah, calling it the "ghettos" kinda annoys me
Speaking of which, i notice a lot of tension between the two sites...

Pish Posh! There's no need for argument, anything about lucid dreaming is good!

You can never get enough Lucid Dreaming, so i figured i could poke around here a bit, too.

Let's see... well i wouldn't call myself a ladies man, but in my dreams i sometimes find myself a lady instead of a man (yeah, that's... kinda weird). And let me tell you, ladies, i SUCK at standing with girly parts (seriously, how do you do it?).

Anyway, hullo everybody!

Also, werewolves are awesome!

that is all

Also here from ld4all. I've been attempting to lucid dream for 9 - 10 months and have yet to have one. I've gotten pretty close before though. So yea, hello.

Hello everybody, newcomer here and I just wanted to introduce myself. I am 'awake' and here is a little about me. Dreams were and still are a big thing to the family I grew up in. Every morning we would tell each other our dreams - if we could remember them - and we would try to help each other interpret them. Now I am married and try to practice the same tradition with my husband and he dreads hearing my dreams. I don't blame him. Once in a while, he will recall a dream that he just has to tell me and it will sound like absolute nonsense. Our dreams are so exciting we when dream them but they never sound that way when we try to tell someone them. I guess you have to be a bit of a storyteller and that is why we are the ones who rent movies instead of writing them. I always wonder when someone will invent a machine that will record your dreams so you could actually watch what you dreamed about the next morning. That would be insane. As for lucid dreaming, I have always done it but never knew there was an actual name for it until recent. I also AP alot and more recently than normal which is what led me to this forum. I usually end up in Japan for some reason. I have never actually been there nor am I of that descent. Also recently, I dreamed I was deep in the ocean. It was the first time that I had ever been projected under water instead of in the air. It wasn't enjoyable to me and I was quite frightened but I knew I was dreaming and so I told the person I was with - who was enjoying the ocean scenery - that that was enough for me and then I woke myself up. Anyhoo, these dreams of recent are how I ended up here. Looking forward to meeting y'all.
